Snail costume

As we have already commented on the blog, to make a craft item it’s not always necessary to use loads of materials, and this costume here today is no exception. You just need some craft paper and little more to make a costume that will amaze the kids.
MATERIALS
APLI Kraft paper
APLI Dressy bond
APLI adhesive tape
APLI staples
APLI pom-poms
A headband
A piece of cardboard
STEP 1
Take large pieces of paper and scrunch and twist them in long pieces.

STEP 2
Begin to roll them up and shape them with your hands. You can use adhesive tape and staples to help join them.

STEP 3
Join the pieces of paper and roll them up, until they look something like this. The size will depend on whether it’s for a child, an adult…

STEP 4
Now cut a piece of cardboard as wide as the snail’s shell. Cut some strips of dressy bond as well, which you are going to stick to the piece of card to make a sort of backpack.

STEP 5
Staple the strips to the piece of card. We recommend you then cut them in half so that when wearing the shell, the strips can be tied and it will be easier and less cumbersome.

STEP 6
Stick the finished cardboard base to the shell that you have already made.

STEP 7
Now make two antennas by sticking a pom-pom to the end of two lengths of screwed up paper. Then join both of them to the headband.

And that’s it… easy, wasn’t it?
