Dress up as Mr Owl!

Today, we are going to show you how to create a most original disguise. We have chosen one of the favourite forest animals - the owl, which, with its colourful feathers, is going to charm the rest of the animals.
MATERIALS
APLI Dressy Bond
APLI scissors
APLI white glue
APLI wool
APLI stapler
STEP 1
Cut a square of Dressy Bond.

STEP 2
Fold the square in four parts and cut a hole in the middle.

STEP 3
Now we will teach you how to trace a circle by hand. Tie a piece of wool to a pencil, secure the other end of the wool centred on the hole, move the pencil while keeping the thread taut. Then cut along the pencil line.

STEP 4
Cut the feathered edge with the scissors.

STEP 5
Repeat the process with the other layers, combining colours and making the round shapes smaller and smaller. Make a cross-shaped slit in each of them, for the child’s head to go through.

STEP 6
Now cut the pieces to make the mask.

STEP 7
Take the white glue and stick the eye contour and the beak

STEP 8
Tie a knot at the end of a woollen thread and staple it to the mask.

STEP 9
It’s ready! A small, smiling and colourful bird. Easy and quick, wasn’t it? We hope you liked it!
