Dress up as a pirate and…all aboard!

Today, we’ll show you how to make a pirate costume, like always, it will be easy and lots of fun to make with the kids. Would you like to try? Well, let’s get going…

MATERIALS

APLI scissors

APLI EVA foam

APLI white glue

APLI Dressy Bond

APLI stapler

APLI wool

APLI pipe cleaners

APLI silver corrugated paper

 

STEP 1

First, prepare the pirate waistcoat. Cut the three parts as in the photo from Dressy Bond fabric.

Stitch 6 buttons to the front of the waistcoat, three on each side.

Then add a piece of pipe cleaner to the collar for decoration. Glue and staple it to ensure it is well secured.

STEP 4

To finish, turn the three pieces of the waistcoat over and staple them on the white line in the photo.

STEP 5

Every pirate needs an eye patch. Cut two circles and a thin and long strip and glue it, as in the photo.

Add the skull and crossbones and it’s ready.

And finally, the sword. Use a cardboard base to make it more rigid. Glue the two parts together and let it dry.

You can add a red headband to the costume (made of Dressy Bond fabric) and… it’s done! Look what an authentic pirate we’ve made!
